“We’ll Build You Up Without Beating You Up”
Some say that all artists suffer for their art. Well martial artists are no different. I started with karate in the second grade and have since studied judo, aikido, kenjitsu, muay thai, and brazilian jiu jitsu. Over that time, I’ve had two ACL reconstructions, more sprains and strains then I can remember, and recently, a herniated disc requiring surgery. And yet I cannot turn away from the martial arts that have been a constant throughout my life.
Can you relate? Is there a sport that you enjoy and can’t turn away from despite having suffered injuries along the way? With today’s advances in sports medicine, there is rarely a need. But after you’ve undergone medical treatment and the initial physical therapy, what then? You want to make sure you can play your chosen sport with equal vigor and ensuring that you are as strong as you can be is the key. That’s where I come in. As an exercise specialist who’s worked with injured clients for many years, including myself, I have the expertise to increase your range of motion, strength, endurance, and power in a safe and balanced manner. And these are qualities that will help prevent further injury.
I have the sensitivity and know how born of experience with managing my own rehab. And I have access to the finest strength training equipment available—MedX, SuperSlow Systems and retrofitted Nautilus and barbells.
